resources

The Guinane Change Consulting team believe that research and experience are essential in providing high quality programs that make a difference. Details are provided below of the resources that have made a difference to us personally and to organisations that we have worked with.

As a member of the Australian Human Resource Institute and Australian Institute of Training and Development, many of our products are developed using the latest research and statistics.

Guinane Change Consulting are great supporters of the Fish philosophy and strongly encourage you to read the Fish collection by Stephen Lundin, John Christensen and Harry Paul. This wonderful series puts fun back into our professional lives.

Learned Optimism by Martin Seligman is a great way to look at our lives in a more positive light.

Emotional Vampires by Albert Bernstein has opened our eyes to those people who are lurking in the corridors of power.

All of us need a little theory in our lives and the Multidimensional Manager by Richard Connelly, Robin McNeill and Roland Mosiman has certainly complemented our research with statistical data.

Change is a constant in our lives and there are many books that cover this topic. Some of the most valuable writers on change are David Hurst, who wrote Crisis and Renewal, and of course John Kotters and Dan Cohen’s book “The Heart of Change”.

Stephen Covey is an all time favourite with his 7 Habits of Effective People and more recently he released the 8 th habit. Both books are enlightening and personally insightful.

Daniel Goleman was one of the first authors to make corporate Australia sit up and take notice of the Emotional Intelligence concept. His book titled “Working with Emotional Intelligence” was the first in a series.

Annie McKee and Richard Boyatzis joined forces to write Resonant Leadership which has highlighted the urgency for resilience in the workforce.

One of our favourite authors and speakers is Kjell Nordstrom who is responsible for “Funky Business and Karaoke Capitalism” His research has opened our eyes to many social implications on future workforces and corporations.

There are many great books around and I will make sure I keep you posted when I come across future gems.

Of course we should not forget to mention our dedicated teachers and professors throughout university who patiently shared their knowledge and experience so that we could continue on the tradition for generations to come. Life is one of our greatest resources and should be cherished for every precious learning moment.
